It all started the modern way: with a swipe and a playful volley of texts. Lature and Sweetina connected on a dating app, neither expecting more than a fun night out. After a month of flirty banter, they finally met on a glittering rooftop bar in NYC. What unfolded felt like a scene ripped straight from a movie.They talked for over five mesmerizing hours, so captivated they didn't even notice their first drinks were still mostly full! They left with the kind of silly, inexplicable grins that hint at a seismic shift they just didn't know it yet. The Fruit Plate and the DreamcatcherThey tried to keep things casual at first, but little moments quickly proved they were doomed to fall head-over-heels. Take Lature's first attempt at cooking for Sweetina: a surprise gourmet dessert of fruit and sorbet. Sweetina politely accepted, then went straight home to make herself a real dinner. (A loving testament to their different approaches to sustenance.)The turning point came early when Lature left for a month-long trip to Bali. Their relationship, barely off the ground, suddenly had to survive on sweet morning and goodnight texts. They missed each other fiercely. Lature returned bearing a gift that spoke volumes: a dreamcatcher the size of Sweetina's biggest dreams, which still hangs guard above her bed. The Love That Spilled OutFeelings grew quietly, but with powerful force. Before they were ready to say the three big words, they circled them, confessing, "I have strong feelings for you". It was a late December night when the words finally spilled out, raw and real. They had no idea just how deep that love would ultimately become.Their love showed up in the small, telling gestures: Lature moved a mirror so Sweetina could effortlessly do her makeup; Sweetina always reminded him to keep a fresh shirt nearby at night because she knew about his notorious night sweats. Sangeet / Mehendi Attire (Vibe: Bright Nightclub)Indian Fancy: We encourage vibrant attire like a Lehenga, Kurta/Salwar Kameez, or Anarkali (bright colors, fun prints, light work).Western Alternative: Wear a Colorful Cocktail Dress, Jumpsuit, or Suit. The Hindu wedding ceremony is a beautiful, sacred process that unites two individuals and their families. While traditional ceremonies can last several hours, Sweetina and Lature will be performing a shortened, modern version that captures the most meaningful elements of the service. The core purpose of this ceremony is to witness the couple exchanging vows, receiving blessings, and commencing their spiritual journey as one. Key Moments to Watch For The ceremony takes place under a beautifully decorated canopy called the Mandap. This structure represents the home the couple will build together. Arrivals: The ceremony begins with the Baraat (Lature's jubilant processional) and the arrival of the bride, Sweetina. This is a moment of high energy and excitement! The Vows: The most sacred part of the ceremony centers around the seven steps or seven vows. Each step represents a vow the couple makes to one another for their life together, covering areas like food, strength, prosperity, happiness, family, health, and eternal friendship. The Sacred Fire: A fire (Havan) is lit in the Mandap. It acts as the divine witness to the vows and symbolizes purification and light. Symbolic Blessings: You will see the couple exchange garlands (Jaimala) as a sign of mutual acceptance, and the groom will apply a red mark (Sindoor) to the bride's hairline, symbolizing her new status as a married woman. The entire service is performed in Sanskrit and led by a priest. Though you may not understand the language, the ceremony is easy to follow and filled with beautiful symbolism, color, and music. Ask the couple! The bride and groom encourage single guests to bring plus ones (most economic) and ask you to check-in with them as well! We kindly ask that you RSVP with all the approved guests so that we can accurately anticipate space and catering needs for all of our events. Can I bring my children? Yes, we've included guests children in our invitations and they are welcome at all wedding events. The resort also has a kids club and childcare services should you want to take advantage of those for any wedding events or your downtime. What if I have dietary restrictions? We will collect specific dietary needs from all confirmed guests closer to the wedding to ensure that our food offerings are reflective of everyone's needs. We will always serve vegetarian options at every event. For meals outside of the wedding events, the resort's all-inclusive dining options should easily accommodate most dietary needs. Should I bring a gift? We recognize the significant cost, time, and commitment involved in attending a destination wedding, and therefore, your presence at our celebration is truly the ultimate gift! However, if you would still like to give us a gift, we just ask for no boxed gifts, please. What should I wear? We have shared attire recommendations and/or color ideas for each event on the corresponding schedule page. However, we encourage guests to dress in what makes them most comfortable, keeping in mind the beautiful warm weather in Punta Cana.

Must-Haves &amp; Documents Passport (required to be valid for at least 6 months past your travel date). Printed Itinerary and Confirmation Numbers (for flight, hotel, and transfers). Credit Cards and a small amount of USD for tipping (small bills are best: $1s, $5s, $10s). Prescription medications and basic first aid (pain relievers, antacids, band-aids). Sunscreen (high SPF) and Aloe Vera. Bug repellent (especially for evening outdoor events). Resort &amp; Beachwear Swimsuits (at least two, so one is always dry!).
